At 4Cyte ALL Medicare eligible tests are "bulk billed" - no charge to patient.

• If you are an overseas student and have Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), 4Cyte will bill your insurance fund directly, no charge to you.
• If you are an overseas visitor and have Overseas Workers Health Cover or Overseas Visitor Heath Cover, 4Cyte will bill your insurance fund directly with no gap fee to be paid by you.

However, there are certain tests that are not covered by Medicare at any pathology companies. 4Cyte will notify you prior to that testing being performed on your specimens. The most common examples of these rare private tests include NIPT Genetic testing, Apolipoprotein, Lipoprotein (a), Urine Iodine, Roma Index (HE4), Vit K.

You will not get a bill for any 4Cyte testing that is covered by Medicare.

However, there are certain tests and circumstances that are not covered by Medicare. For example, if you require a rare test that is not covered under the Medicare system. You will be advised by SMS prior to any testing being done on your sample, if a private bill will need to be paid for one of these tests.

Make sure you write your valid OSHC policy number / cover number on your doctor's pathology order form to ensure we can bill your fund directly.
