When will I get my results?
Most routine blood test results are generally available 24h to 48h after your sample has been taken.
Respiratory PCR testing is typically available 12-36h post sample receipt.
More complex testing such as genetics, particularly rare tests that are performed only by specialist reference laboratories may take up to 1 week or longer.
What about Respiratory and Covid-19 PCR Swab Testing and Results?
Respiratory PCR testing results are typically available 12-36h post sample collection.
Subject to your doctor's consent, 4Cyte will send an SMS of your Respiratory PCR results to the patient's nominated mobile phone.
How do I get my results?
Patient results are sent to your referring doctor. If you would like a copy of your results, please ask your referring doctor and or access via My Health Record.
Will 4Cyte supply my test results to My Health Record?
4Cyte Pathology will send all pathology results to My Health Record.
However, 4Cyte will NOT upload to My Health Record where:
- The patient has specifically withdrawn consent to upload the result (must be clearly written on the pathology request form), or
- The patient is not registered with My Health Record, or
- My Health Record is unable to correctly identify your personal details
